Thirst - Film and Game Art (Intro, gameplay, outro)

Thirst - The Wolves of Barren Hollow was a stealth/adventure game for mobile we made at Tactile Entertainment (based on The wolf in the Iron Forest). The story is told in three parts: Part 1: cinematic intro. Part 2: the game itself. Part 3: cinematic outro.

Me: direction, AD, storyboard/layout, design and some animation.

Part 2: I did these layouts for each of the 9 levels, based on screenshots from the game.
Part 3 - WIP/RIP. The game got cancelled as we were working on the cinematic outro (crazy publisher problems - we actually finished all the gameplay and levels!)

-spoiler alert - The story was that the boy bitten in the intro uses his growing powers (enhanced senses, strength and agility + a herb called wolfbane) throughout the game to kill the wolves, track down and save his brother - but that in the outro he would finally pay the price and be turned into a werewolf himself. Roles reversed the brother would now use the herb to keep the curse at bay, as the adventure would continue in search of a permanent cure (#epic game series/saga).

I have posted a mashup of my storyboard and Halds backgrounds below (an image from each scene) to show the cinematic ending we were working on.
